Roadmap.

What I am building next, and what you can ask for.

I run this roastery alone, so the list is short and I keep it honest. The dates are when I expect to finish, not promises. If something here matters to you, or something is missing, the form at the end of this page comes straight to me.

What I am building now

Work that is under way at this desk.

  • In progress

An MCP server for ordering coffee.

Model Context Protocol is the open standard that lets an assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude talk to an outside service. I am building one for this roastery. Once it is live, you will be able to connect Askespresso to the assistant you already use and order in a sentence.

It will read the same catalog, prices, and order records as this website. Payment stays with you: the assistant prepares the order, and you confirm and pay here before I roast anything.

    • Read the roasts, sizes, grinds, and prices.
    • Put together a bag and hand you a link to pay for it.
    • Check where an order is, and reorder what you had last time.
    • Ask me about a grind for your equipment, the way the shop form does.

What comes next

In the order I expect to get to them.

  • After the MCP server

    Askespresso inside ChatGPT and Claude.

Once the server is stable, I will list it so it can be added from inside ChatGPT and Claude without copying a URL. The same account and order history will follow you there.

  • Being written

    The guides.

Brewing espresso at home, the words people use for coffee, and how roasting changes a bean. These are listed on the guides page and will be published as each one is finished.

  • Planned

Roast and dispatch dates on your order.

The confirmation page and your order history will show the day your bag was roasted and the day it left, so you know when to open it.

What is already here

Shipped and in use.

  • September 2026

Coffee roasted after you order it.

Light, medium, and dark roasts, a custom roast made toward the notes you ask for, and grinding for your brewer. Guest checkout, accounts that keep orders together, and order history.

  • September 2026

The journal and the city pages.

Searchable writing grouped by month, an RSS feed, and pages for the cities and trades I roast for most.

Ask for something

Tell me what would make this better for you, and where you would use it. I read every request myself. Things several people ask for move up the list, and I reply when I have an answer.
