Terms of sale.
These terms apply when you buy coffee on askespresso.com or in the Askespresso app. Askespresso is run by Sayonsom Chanda from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. You can reach us through the contact page.
Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy the coffee in your bag at the price shown. The order is accepted when the confirmation page shows your order reference; when you pay online, that happens once your payment succeeds. The same order appears in Your orders.
We may decline or cancel an order if a coffee is no longer available, if we cannot deliver to the address given, or if the price shown was plainly wrong. If that happens after you have paid, you get a full refund.
Prices and payment
Prices are in Indian rupees and include all applicable taxes. Delivery within India is free, so the total at checkout is what you pay.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. You can pay with UPI, by scanning a QR code or through a UPI app, with a Visa, Mastercard or RuPay card, or by net banking. Card and bank details go to Razorpay and are never seen or stored by this site.
Roasting and delivery
Each bag is roasted after you order it. How long that takes and where we deliver are set out in Shipping and delivery.
Cancellations, returns and refunds
You can cancel for a full refund until your bag is roasted. Roasted coffee cannot be returned, but a damaged, wrong or missing bag is replaced or refunded. The details are in Cancellations and refunds.
The coffee
Coffee is a food product. Keep the bag sealed, away from heat, light and moisture, and use it within a few weeks of opening. Tasting notes describe the roast and vary a little from batch to batch.
Advice and Ask Baba
Brewing guides, recipes, caffeine estimates and Ask Baba’s answers are general guidance about coffee. They are not medical advice. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, or have been told to limit caffeine, follow your doctor’s advice.
Accounts
An account is optional. If you make one, keep access to your email and Google sign-in secure, because orders and preferences are linked to it. You can delete your account at any time on Delete your data.
Liability
For any problem with an order, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can put things right. Any dispute that cannot be settled between us is subject to the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Changes
We may update these terms. The terms in force when you place an order apply to that order.
