Fresh-roasted coffee beans, delivered in Bengaluru.
Bengaluru is where the beans and I both live. The farms are a few hours west, in the hills, and my roaster is in a kitchen in this city. A bag ordered here has the shortest journey of any I send.
The city grew up on filter coffee, and I have not forgotten that. If you want the same beans ground fine for a steel filter, say so, and that is how they will arrive.

Coffee for Bengaluru weather
On a cool, grey morning the medium roast as a pour-over is what I drink myself. For the traditional filter, the dark roast ground fine gives a decoction that is close to what the old houses serve, without the chicory. For an espresso machine, either the medium or the dark pulls a thick, sweet shot.
Bags to Bengaluru addresses usually arrive within two or three days of the roast.
How the coffee reaches you
I buy green arabica from one small farm in the coffee hills of Karnataka, a few kilos at a time. I roast it at home on a small drum roaster, in batches of a few hundred grams, after my day job. I roast your bag after you order it, so it leaves within days of the roast and not months.
You choose light, medium, or dark, or you tell me the notes you like and I roast toward them. You can have whole beans, or tell me your brewer and I will grind for it. A 250 g bag is ₹750 and a 500 g bag is ₹1,200, with free shipping in India.
Who you are buying from
I am one person with a roaster in my kitchen. There is no team, no cafe, and no warehouse. When you write to me about a grinder or a shot that came out sour, I am the one who writes back, and I have made the same mistakes at my own counter.
Questions people ask
How long does delivery take?
I roast after you order, let the beans settle for a day, and hand the bag to the courier. Most cities in India receive it within a week of the order.
Is shipping really free?
Yes. Free shipping in India on every bag, 250 g or 500 g.
Which roast should I start with?
If you are unsure, start with the medium roast. It works in a moka pot, a French press, a pour-over, and an espresso machine, and it forgives a grind that is a little off.
The shop has the three roasts and the custom roast. If you are not sure, write to me at chanda.sayonsom@gmail.com and tell me how you brew.
