Fresh-roasted coffee beans, delivered in Mumbai.

Mumbai kitchens are small and the mornings are fast, and in the monsoon everything in a cupboard goes soft within a week. Coffee that was roasted months ago does not survive that. Coffee roasted last Tuesday does.

Every bag I send to Mumbai is roasted after you order it and sealed with a one-way valve. Keep it closed, keep it out of the fridge, and it will hold for weeks.

Coffee for a Mumbai morning

For a quick strong cup before the train, the medium roast in a moka pot is the one I would choose. For the weekend, the light roast in an AeroPress gives you something brighter to sit with while the rain comes in.

If you brew with milk, the dark roast keeps its flavour where lighter coffees fade.

How the coffee reaches you

I buy green arabica from one small farm in the coffee hills of Karnataka, a few kilos at a time. I roast it at home on a small drum roaster, in batches of a few hundred grams, after my day job. I roast your bag after you order it, so it leaves within days of the roast and not months.

You choose light, medium, or dark, or you tell me the notes you like and I roast toward them. You can have whole beans, or tell me your brewer and I will grind for it. A 250 g bag is ₹750 and a 500 g bag is ₹1,200, with free shipping in India.

Who you are buying from

I am one person with a roaster in my kitchen. There is no team, no cafe, and no warehouse. When you write to me about a grinder or a shot that came out sour, I am the one who writes back, and I have made the same mistakes at my own counter.

Questions people ask

How long does delivery take?

I roast after you order, let the beans settle for a day, and hand the bag to the courier. Most cities in India receive it within a week of the order.

Is shipping really free?

Yes. Free shipping in India on every bag, 250 g or 500 g.

Which roast should I start with?

If you are unsure, start with the medium roast. It works in a moka pot, a French press, a pour-over, and an espresso machine, and it forgives a grind that is a little off.

The shop has the three roasts and the custom roast. If you are not sure, write to me at chanda.sayonsom@gmail.com and tell me how you brew.
